The sunset on a cold Monday as Ross walked down the street exchanging daunting gazes to every person he met. His past a mystery, concealed by the shadows of mystery. Almost as if he was hiding from reality.  Echoing screams filled his head as he tried to separate dream from life and nightmare from existence. He turned a corner his head overflowing with ghastly judgment. The words seemed to echo… ‘Pain, Safety Life, Death’ but one word reoccurred every time, ‘delusion’. He tried to brush of these pessimistic memories (if that is what you could call them) and remember his duty.
He fell to the floor as the overwhelming shadows seemed to cover his brain. He couldn’t submit. If he did it would all be lost. A voice seemed to say ‘remember your duty’ but he was lost inside his head. He seemed to fall through his mind. He screamed and as he climbed up in front of him stood a beast of dismay a illusion, no not a illusion for now he remembers. He pulls his hand towards his chest and the darkness seemed to draw towards him. In his hand he holds a pitch black blade.
With one skilful swing he cuts of the beasts arm and simply grunts. This to him was like swatting flies. Nothing more then a sport.  He swung the blade once again severing the beasts head, it fell to the floor. Ross’ blade deteriorated to the shadows and he fell to the floor and screamed once again….
For he understands now…
